Follow the back-and-forth.

An illustrative outing, not a timed test. Your storage, ramp, parking and crew arrangements will change the steps.

3. Water Enter the water, retract wheels and enjoy the outing
4. Shore Return to suitable shore access and transition to land
5. Home Drive back, unload and complete after-use care
No separate tow vehicle and trailer to park for this example. Suitable access, operating checks, local road and water requirements still apply.
Street-legal registration and operating rules for low-speed vehicles vary by state and local jurisdiction and may change. This information is general guidance only. Confirm current requirements with your state DMV and local authorities before registering or operating your WaterCar on public roads.
Count the back-and-forth.
In this illustrated trailer outing, the driver makes two walks between the dock and trailer parking—one after launching and one before retrieval. WaterCar removes those separate trailer-parking trips when the outing allows direct shore access.
Some ramps, crew arrangements and storage services eliminate or change these steps. WaterCar still needs appropriate entry and exit access and normal cleaning and maintenance.
What if your boat stays at a dock?
A berth removes trailer launching from the day. The car-to-boat transfer can still remain.
